Super Stoked for Armos
Hello, 'bout time I start making posts here, huh? I've gotten rather excited for our iOS game, Armos. I've been thinking about what the 3 of us will be calling out positions. I'm thinking SomeWhores will be Code Maestro, ChromeCrash will be Level Design Wizard, and I'll be Character Animation Warlock. Or not. Whatever.

So while everyone else is updating via twitter, I'll stay here
and post whatever updates I feel are necessary here.
So we got approved for Kickstarter recently, which means we might be able to get all of the money for our first game ever. So stuff for compy upgrades (don't know about everyone else, but I need some more RAM and either a second, or a better video card :P). we also might want to get commercial licenses for Maya, and Photoshop, if they exist. which is what I'm looking into right now actually so I'll get back to you guys later.
Okay so for photoshop it looks like we don't really need to worry about stuff, I'll be looking more into it later, and I haven't looked into maya yet.

The State of PL4B
Currently we are trying to get the manpower together to make games, I'm currently learning how to use the UDK, Somewhores is working with objective C, and Dylan is learning Maya. I can't really account for the other two, but UDK is coming along smoothly for me. I figure if everyone else want's to do an update on their progress they can... but that's all I really want to say, not that anyone is paying attention.

An Update.
So it's been a while since there has been an update.
The PS3 Linux box idea kind of ate the dust. Not by choice, but because of circumstances that are out of anyones control.
We are currently open to ANY ideas/donations of any kind (including thought donations hence the ideas) to get this project off the ground again. We most of the parts we need.
For those who are uninformed, read blow
tl;dr edition
PS3 broke, fixed it, wanted to put it in a G3 iMac shell and put Linux on it and have it be awesome.
Full Story
It happened around the launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (11/2009) my original Launch 60GB PlayStation 3 got the dreaded Yellow Light of Death. For those of you unfamiliar with said Yellow Light of Death it's the PS# equivalent of the Red Ring of Death. In other words, massive hardware failure. Parents were nice enough to buy me a new one in exchange for my Xbox 360 for my little brother. Sounded like a good deal to me so I went for it.
Fast forward a to recently, a new job later and Dylan and I happen to come into the possession of an iMac G3 shell. We decide we want to build a fish tank out of it. Better yet a fish tank using mineral oil and having a working computer in side. No fish though. Apparently fish can't live in any clear liquid just water. At this point, I had repaired my 60GB PS3 about 3 times to keep it working so I could get my discs back... and attempt to play only resulting in the machine breaking again.
We played around with the idea, I started attempting to get the old PS3 to work once again. I over heated the machine countless times, but only had to revive it back from the Yellow Light once. Since that fix, the PS3's harddrive received a good formatting and the internet was Google'd in efforts to find a good set of instructions on how the hell to even begin installing Linux on the old PS3. After installing petitboot onto the PS3 I attempted installing 10.04 PPC+PS3 only to have it fail 4 times with a kernel error. So I decided the next install would be 9.10. I was attempting to stay as close to newest release as possible since I'm not a Linux Guru in any way. Also I wanted Hamachi and either Boxee or XBMC to be able to be installed and wasn't sure how far back I could go with a Ubuntu version and still be able to utilize those applications.
After getting most of the way through the install of 9.10 the system over heated once again and got itself in the Yellow Light of Death situation again. However, this time we tried to repair it to no avail. Three attempts with a heat gun and each time it continued to show the blinking yellow light of Suck ass Hardware failure.
So at this point we're stuck. We have everything we need but a usable system. While we wanted to do a PS3 originally we're not picky anymore. We'll do a computer, PS3, or an Xbox 360. We just need help since we're poor. Dylan's getting married and I'm attempting to pay for school without going massively into debt.
Any donations of any kind are very graciously appreciated. Ideas, Parts, money for parts, kind words. I mean literally anything. Except herpes.
